This one-day training will provide participants with the information, tools and templates to develop and implement a successful action plan, as well as an opportunity to practice and apply an action planning process. Action planning is a process during which specific and detailed steps are identified and carried through in order to achieve a goal. It can be used to successfully plan for direct service programs such as Youth Prevention Education and Communication Campaigns, as well as other local prevention efforts such as IYS recruitment, hosting a town hall meeting, coalition-led efforts, etc. Participants should come prepared with a prevention strategy or effort for which they would like to develop an action plan.
