Course Description
This online training will provide Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Substance Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP) providers and their coalition members with an overview of party prevention and controlled party dispersal. Participants will learn about the strategy’s planning and implementation/enforcement considerations, as well as tips for meeting SAPP standards. Completion time for this course is approximately 1.5 hours.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- describe the intent, effectiveness, and key components of the party prevention and controlled party dispersal strategy,
- identify important steps involved in planning controlled party dispersal operations as identified by the SAPP Standards for Controlled Party Dispersal, and
- identify important components of strategy implementation/enforcement.
