Course Description
IISAP II: SAPP System Orientation is a self-paced, online course that introduces Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Substance Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP) providers to the Illinois substance abuse prevention system. The course includes an overview of IDHS and SAPP, roles and responsibilities of SAPP providers, and grant requirements. Completion time for this course is approximately 1.5 hours.
SAPP providers who attended the FY13 Substance Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP) Orientation on August 30, 2012 at Lincoln Land Community College are not required to complete this course.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- describe where the Substance Abuse Prevention Program fits within the Illinois Department of Human Services,
- identify the system support available to providers,
- identify the purpose and intent of the IL substance abuse prevention system,
- identify their roles and responsibilities as Substance Abuse Prevention Program providers.
