IISAP I: Welcome to Prevention
By the end of IISAP I, participants will be able to:
- define prevention,
- explain the Continuum of Care,
- describe substance use rates and trends among Illinois youth,
- identify the effects and consequences of youth substance use,
- explain the stages of addiction,
- explain the history of prevention, including the primary strategies applied by decade, and
- describe evidence-based prevention.

IISAP II: SAPP System Orientation
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- describe where the Substance Abuse Prevention Program fits within the Illinois Department of Human Services,
- identify the system support available to providers,
- identify the purpose and intent of the IL substance abuse prevention system,
- identify their roles and responsibilities as Substance Abuse Prevention Program providers.
