Student Assistance Program Development Training

- New Student Assistance Coordinators
- New members being added to existing Student Assistance Programs
- Staff members wishing to learn more about how the SAP operates in their building
- Staff members previously SAP trained who want to receive updated training
Length of Training: Two days
Goal: Provide participants with the basic information and key concepts necessary to begin implementation of a new Student Assistance Program or become a member of an existing building-based Student Assistance Program.
Focus: SAP implementation and development based in best practices that should result in the capacity of participants to assess student and staff needs and resources, establish a framework for prevention, early identification, intervention, and support services that address those needs.
Content Areas: Nine Constructs of a Comprehensive Student Assistance Program framework through universal, selected and indicated strategies; integration of SAP with RTI, socio-emotional learning and other school programs.
12-hours of Teacher Re-certification Units are available for this training.
