IL SADD at Prevention First works to provide students with the best prevention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, impaired/distracted driving and other destructive decisions. Students from across the state represent their peers on the ILSADD Student Advisory Board which helps to inform and direct our work. During our session we will provide an overview of SADD from it's inception to a current snapshot of SADD in Illinois. We will discuss how SADD can play an integral role in the work of DHS SAPP sub-grantees. SADD brings training and technical assistance to chapters which in turn can provide the youth component necessary in community prevention work.
