State Partners in Prevention: Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute and Operation Snowball
Monday, April 29, 2013 - 01:30 PM - 02:30 PM
The Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute is a state-wide program that trains young people to be leaders in substance abuse prevention efforts in their schools and communities. The program kicks off with a 5 day intensive, yet fun, training conference- where young people hear from nationally recognized youth speakers and develop local action plans. Operation Snowball works with accredited youth coalitions to ensure they have the resources and tools needed to address substance use locally. Operation Snowball assists in coordinating local events and provides training and technical assistance to adult leaders who work with OS youth chapters. This session will provide information about both programs, ways young people and prevention professionals can benefit from each program, and information about upcoming events and scholarships.
