Student Assistance Program: Community Partnership Development Training

Participants will engage in a series of applications during the training that enhance collaboration skills in working together to improve outcomes for youth.
Participants can expect to learn more about:
* identifying a data-based issue occurring with youth in the community
* formulating a school / community partnership
* conducting a community-school based need and resource assessment
* developing a logic model to address the concern including strategies, outcomes, and evaluation measures
* developing protocols for working together
* utilizing a school / community youth intervention template
* creating an evaluation plan
* a Case Study: the St. Clair County Student Assistance Juvenile Justice Community Partnership that is changing opportunities for youth
This training is appropriate for schools with / or planning to implement Student Assistance Programs and community organizations which may include local law enforcement, substance abuse and / or mental health services representatives, foster care services, domestic violence services, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the faith community, the local health department, etc.
