Building Capacity for Substance Abuse Prevention

Successful prevention efforts hinge on the readiness and capacity of the community. During this two-day training, participants will be introduced to a process for assessing community readiness to address prevention problems and strategies to build community capacity. Participants will also learn how to conduct a coalition assessment and use the results to develop a plan to improve coalition functioning.
*All SAPP Sub-Grant A providers, Sub-Grant B providers. Participants must complete Overview of Strategic Planning prior to participating in this course.
**Completion of this course is waived for Sub-Grant A providers who completed the four Capacity trainings in FY13.
