Enhancing Engagement through a Resilient Mindset Webinar

Wednesday, May 27, 2020 - 03:00 PM - 03:45 PM
Target Audience: Counselors, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative/Leadership Staff

The first order of business in working with people remotely is forming a connection and keeping it that way. We know from studies looking at therapist effects that it matters not only what treatment is offered, but how we approach the task. This session will help you develop foundational skills in resiliency that help you control our own emotions during a time that is taxing for everyone, become fully and authentically present during sessions, and finally gain perspective to bounce back from challenging interactions that drain our resiliency bank account.

Objectives:

1. Explore basics of resiliency as a way to help reduce compassion fatigue

2. Learn and practice a three-step process to prepare yourself for sessions, engage with full presence and gain perspective

This webinar will be 30 minutes with an additional 15 minutes of Q&A with IDHS/SUPR.

.75 CEUs will be awarded.
