Getting Back on Track Webinar

Thursday, May 28, 2020 - 01:00 PM - 01:45 PM
Target Audience: Counselors, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative/Leadership Staff

Just as symptom recurrence is common in chronic disease management, resumed use is normal in addiction treatment, particularly during challenging times. The key is to help patients get back on track quickly with a nonjudgmental restorative approach. This process is what we can use in any situation when we are struggling with staying on track.

There are four questions we can ask ourselves as we review the situation: What’s up? What’s new? What’s needed? What if?

Objectives:

1. Discuss ways to work with patients to avoid getting derailed

2. Learn how to use these questions of What’s up? What’s new? What’s needed? What if? In our work with patients if they do become derailed

This webinar will be 30 minutes with an additional 15 minutes of Q&A with IDHS/SUPR.

.75 CEUs will be awarded.
